5 Product Tag

Hello beauties!

Lately I have been seeing the “5-product Tag” post by fellow beauty bloggers and liked it very much and decided to do it myself.

These 5 products that I am going to show you do not change much, between summer and winter because they are my favorite everyday  makeup products all year long.

Let’s start!

    1.  Garnier BB Cream for combination skin in medium

This BB cream was a surprise for me as I have tried other higher end brands and did not suit my skin. But this one is very light, doesn't make me shiny, lasts all day with 1-2 powder touch ups, has a pretty good coverage and hasn't caused me any breakouts.
I love it. I wear it every day and sometimes, if my skin is ok, even at my going out makeup.
The only thing I do not like is the rather intense alcohol smell once you apply it.

  1. MAC Paint Pot in painterly

Anything I say about this product, it will never be enough. I am in love with it.
I wear it alone to brighten my lids when not wearing any eyeshadows.
I wear it as a base when doing everything else. Day or Night.
This means I wear it every single day. I have other shades as well but this one is my favorite for the variety of its uses.

  1. Maybelline The Falsies Black Drama Mascara

I was loyal to another brand for years but one time I was short of cash and needed mascara asap and  thought I would buy one cheaper just for an emergency.  And I got my hands to this one.
And never looked back.
I like my lashes pretty dramatic when doing eye makeup and this mascara fulfills my wish.
Volume, Length, Intense Color, Drama, Durability. What else is there to ask?

  1. Make Up For Ever Mat Bronzer in #230

I was in the search of a good bronzer for a long time.
Don’t be fooled. This is not the only bronzer I own but surely is one of my favorite.
I bought it during sales and when starting using it, appeared in patches after a while and caused me a breakout…….and I almost had a breakdown.
As I had irritated skin due to sun and sea, I put it aside and told myself I would try again I a month.
The days passed and I gave it another go.
It was perfect, long lasting and perfect color match. I love it.

  1. Estee Lauder Cream Blush in 04 berry light  & H&M blush in dazzling peach.

I apologize for putting two products in the same category but it is one of the those that do change during the change of season.
So I have been wearing H&M blush all summer because it as one the most beautiful peachy, with a slight sheen to it, colors I have ever tried. It blends beautifully with the bronzer and has incredible ling lasting power.
In winter I usually wear this beautiful cream blush that gives my cheeks a healthy glow, not shine, and a splash of color. It blends easily though is not very long lasting.
I love it though because of its dusty pink-mauve shade which is my favorite.

Well, these are my favorite 5 products that I could not live without and use every day.

Is any of them one of your favorite too? Do tell!

As always,

Stay healthy & beautiful

Mac & Sephora Eye Brighteners! Lighten Up Your Eyes!

Hello everyone!

How have you been doing?

Is the season transition makes you feel a bit sleepless and tired?
And the worse…does it shows in your eyes?

Well if this is the case, boy I have good news for you!

Eye Brighteners!

If anyone of you has not heard of them before, let me give you a heads up.
Eye brighteners are light textured colored cremes that go very smoothly under the eyes.

Their main goal is not to cover your dark circles but to brighten and light reflect the under eye area, creating a more fresh and clean appearance.

I don’t have any dark circles so this is perfect for me. But it is also useful for the ones that have, by using a light layer of corrector (peachy), concealer (beige) and brightener (light pink) which you will success by applying a small amount of each to have a natural highlighted under eye area.

The ones I have and use are:

MAC Prep + Prime Highlighter Pen in Bright Forecast & the
Sephora Smoothing & Brightening Concealer in 03 light.

As you can see from the photos the one is really yellowy and the other is rather light pink.
The yellow tone is more suitable for darker skins and the light pink one is perfect for fair skins.

I use to mix them together and I end up having the perfect highlighting shade for my skin.
It is almost like second skin.

I bought both of them on sale so I am not sure what their price is but I can tell you approximately that the MAC is about 20-22 euro and the Sephora is about 10-12 euro.

Their quality is equally good even though there is a big price gap!

So, what do you think? Do you use eye brighteners?
If so, which one? I am open to suggestions!

Stay healthy & beautiful!

MAC Oil Control Lotion Review

Hello my beauties!

How are you? I am sure you are hot hot hot! And times like this you are trying to make the best out of your makeup. I know. I struggle myself with that too.

I am trying to find the best moisturiser or primer that leaves my skin matte hot days like these.
During my search I came across to this oil control lotion by our beloved MAC.

As you can see it is light textured and a bit "runny". The girl in the store said that will keep my skin matte and that I wouldn't need to wear moisturiser under it when doing my makeup as it has moisturising elements on its own.

My opinion on this lotion is not so good as someone would expect.
Although it felt quite comfortable on my skin and absorbed quickly, I noticed not the slightest difference on my skin, my makeup or my T-zone. I was shiny 1 1/2 hour later tops.

And imagine I didn't wear it the last days that the weather is trying to kill us with heat and humidity.

This does not change my mind on the quality of MAC cosmetics, they are one of the best!
But I did thought that they would do good work on the sensitive subject of oil & shine control.

Have you tried it?
What is our opinion?
Which one is your best anti-shine primer?

Stay healhy & beautiful

Razzle Dazzle!

Hello my beauties!

I am guessing you are happy, looking forward for your vacations while having a delicious coctail in the local bar.
I, myself, last week was in a bar in the centre of Athens, drinking strawberry mochito and let me tell you this. For three hours, I was feeling like I was in this exotic place, sipping my drink and listening to easy music.
But anyway, let me get back to my point. I was saying that summer is here, you have already tanned somehow, and your mood is in its highest point.
And I ask you.
Is there something that would make you feel even better?
Something that would make you look even happier and more glowing like you are showered by light?

Let me show you some magic tricks I have on my makeup bag!

Taaaa-Daaaaaa!

1. The Body Shop Sandstone #03 quartz hue

This small red treasure box was the first time I would come across to a highlighter. And still I used it as a eyeshadow! It looked really good on my eyes but when later I realised its true purpose I was thrilled! It has a beautiful rose champagne colour that matches any skin. I don't think you can still find the exact package but The Body Shop is full of highlighters!

2. Stila Illuminating Finishing Powder #Gold

This illuminating powder has a gorgeous soft gold colour that is shimmery not glittery. It gives a soft shimmery touch on the top of your cheekbones. This is for you who want something not too obvious.

3. Mac Cream Colour Base #Pearl

Anything I say on this black magic box it won't be enough! It is a creme highlighter that is best put with your fingers and it blends in your skin like heaven! I am sure a lot of you know exactly what I mean!

4. Gosh Bronzing Shimmer Brush # 102

I have shown this one before on the Bronzers post (see it here).
It is an ultra shimmering bronzing powder tha makes you shine like you never imagined. It is very easy to go wrong with this product as the packaging is not too tidy and tends to let a lot of product get away and onto your face! But overall it is a great one!

5. Clinique Fresh Bloom Allover Colour #03 Almond Blossom

This is the most subtle highlighter I own. It has the smallest amount of shimmer of them all and can be used as a bronzer or a blush. There are two colours as you can see when mixed with the brush, gives a rose bronze shimmery glow. It is very good to carry it in your purse as it has many uses.

Below I am showing you a face chart to see where is best to contour and highlight our face. I hope it will help those who are new to highlighters and want to try them out! The dark points are contouring your face to create angles and the rose ones are to create light to your face.

I hope you find your way to a new glowing You!!!!!

Stay healthy & beautiful!
