The Body Shop News

Hello my beauties!

I hope you are well, healthy and happy!

Today I received the goodie bag from The Body Shop "Pulse" event last week, to which I did not make it.
The event took place at their new store in Kolonaki which I' ve heard it is really unique and special.
The beauty bloggers had the chance to see the new limited cruelty-free makeup line signed by the company's ambassador Lily Cole, which is full of pinks and corals.

Leaving the event everyone got a goodie bag with some all-time favorite products and some brand new!

Inside the organically grown cotton bag were 4 very beloved products.

1. Strawberry Body Butter*
Body moisturiser with strawberry seed oil for normal skin
2. Moringa Shower Gel*
Delicately floral soap-free cleansing, with moisturising moringa leaf extract and community trade honey
3. Vitamin E Face Mist*
On-call moisture and vitamin E protection. Excellent for setting makeup.
4. Coconut Beautifying Oil*
Dry oil for body, face & hair. Moisturizes, smoothes, illuminates.

My favorites are the face mist and the beautifying oil.
I am addicted to dry oils. I use them on my skin and my hair. I love their sense and I always have one with me.
The face mist was on my wish list for a quite while now and finally I get to try it. I will use it to set my makeup and to hydrate my skin on the beach! I will let you know!

Well, what do you think?
Which are your favorite The Body Shop products?

Summer is here! So are Sunscreens!

Hello my beauties!

As you all have noticed summer is here. At last!
This means sun, sun and sun! Though we live in a sunny country, the sun during the summery months is more intense and tricky. (I do not like the word "dangerous" for something as vital as the sun).

So I thought I' d show you my new sunscreens, my all time favourite ones and some I wish to try.
Are you ready? Lay down on your sunbed and relax...

Face Sunscreens

1. Clinique Face Cream SPF 30

When I first tried it, I was really sceptical about it. As I have combination skin, it is difficult for me to find a sunscreen to use before my foundation and not feel my skin heavy or shiny.
Well, this Clinique face sunscreen surprised me. It is moisturising, non greasy, no "white face" effect and with an SPF 30 keeps the sun close but his effects away!
price: 24,50 euros

2. Juliette Armand SPF 30 Sun Film

This is the second time I am using something from this greek brand and I am very pleased. Mostly because of the quality of their products.
This sunscreen is a soothing gel with a slight color to even the skin, oil free and with a consistency that prevent any cell alterations and stimulates the natural regeneration of the skin.
It has a powdery smell that stays.
price: 15-18 euros

3. Korres Watermelon Lightweight tinted moisturiser SPF 30

This sunscreen is quite famous on its own.
It is oil free, gives a little more coverage than a usual tinted moisturiser and stays on pretty well. It has enough color to even your skintone without needing to wear any foundation.
It is one of my safe choices.
price: 14 euros

4. Murad Waterproof Sunblock SPF 30

This is the sunscreen "treat" I gave to myself. It is waterproof, prevents free radical damage to age-proof skin.
It contains hyaluronic acid and phyto-lipids that preserve skin's moisture barrier and protects elasticity to maintain skin's firmness.
One of the best things I have tried on my skin.
Do I need to say more?
price: $ 30

5. Clinique SPF 35 Targeted Protection Stick

This form of sunscreen is new to me but so so beloved!!
Even though I put on my sunblock every morning I exprerience some redness and dryness at the high point of my cheekbones under my eyes and this is perfect to carry in my bag and refresh my protection!
price: 25 euros

Body Sunscreens

1. Piz Buin In Sun Lotion SPF 20

This is one of my all time favourites sunblocks. The smell reminds me of vacations and sun.
Its consistency is rich, non greasy though and the protection is true.
I love this sunscreen.
price: 15 euros approx.

2. Clinique Body Cream SPF 30

This sunscreen is new to my collection and as I have not started going to the sea, I haven't tried it yet but I will read to you the press release.
" Advanced defense and repair. Innovative SolarSmart technology stabilizes high-level uva-uvb protection to defend against the aging and burning effects of the sun. Adds a barrier repair and solar-activated antioxidants to help prevent signs of aging"
price: 24,90 euros

3. Hawaiian Tropic Coconut Tanning Oil in Deep

What can I say about this bottle?
It reminds all the summers of my life, all the vacations of my life and all the sunny days of my life.
There was not once summer that this legendary oil was not in my bag.
I know there is no SPF protection and I shouldn't be using it alone, which I don't any more. But I always mix it with my normal sunblock just to maintain the feeling it always gives me.......Summer!
I am in love with it and when summer ends, I count the days till we meet again!
price: 7 euros approx.

Want-to-try sunscreens

1. Fresh Line Hephaestos Face Emulsion SPF15

Fresh Line is known for its natural products and high quality.
This is a sunblock full of natural sun protection portions and essential oils which work as protection against UV rays and also as natural healing for burned and irritated skin.
Its non greasy formula is ideal for combination/oily skin.
price: 22,90 euros

2. Lancome Genifique Soleil Skin Youth Protector SPF 50

Lancome after the huge success that has seen with Genifique (Youth Activator), has created the ultimate sunscreen.
Having incorporated the power of Genifique Serum, the new range of Lancome sunscreen protects against the effects of sun exposure while prevents signs of premature skin aging.
price: 35 euros approx.

Well these are my choices for the summer.
What do you think of them?
What is your choice?

Stay healthy & beautiful

Foundations Review

Hello my beauties!

How are you?
I am so glad that the weather is getting hotter and hotter! I am sure I will be whining when it gets like 40 C, but until then I am super happy!

Ok! Today I am going to talk to you about the foundations I have right now in my case.
I always try to find something new and improved and I always want to try everything that comes out. So now in my case I have foundations that each of them I use on different occasion.
But let' s start!

1. Clinique Stay Matte Oil Free Make up
This is my newest foundation. It is brand new, oil free with buildable coverage. It stays matte even after my sunscreen. It is still there 8 hrs later and even though is is a matte foundation, it is not flat. Fragrance free as most of Clinique products. It feels like skin.

2. Max Factor Lasting Performance
This is one of my favourite evening foundations. It is matte but still not flat, it has a great natural coverage, elimininates any redness and spots and stays on my skin for more than 8-9 hrs. It is so good that I have heard it is used on brides!

3. Bourjois Healthy Mix & Bourjois Flower Perfection
Well, I don't know if you have tried any of the Bourjois foundations but they said to be pretty good and I agree. They are really pigmented, longstay and live up to their word.
Healthy Mix is mostly for dry skin as it gives a beautiful dewy finish. I don't like the fruity smell though.
Flower Perfection is a very good foundation. great coverage, needs to be applied quick though as it is thick.
Lately I use to mix those two to get the perfect dewy-matte finish with great coverage.

4. Clinique Continuous Coverage
This is a foundation that does what you read in the box. It is great foundation with enough pigmentation to cover almost anything. This is great for problem skin but not so much for dry/very dry skin. It stays matte for hours.  I use this rarely when I have bad skin. You have to choose your color carefully though as it is thick and it tends to oxidize and get darker after the application.

5. Sephora Light Veil Foundation
If you have tried Sephora cosmetics, then you know that they are really quality products. I have tried this foundation on a sample I have found inside a magazine and I liked it so much that I went an bought it. It is a summer evening foundation. It says that is like light veil but it is thick enough to be considered heavy at summer mornings. It covers enough and stays a long.

6. Essence Clear & Matte Makeup
Before we could find Essence cosmetics at Hondos Center, my sister bought me this foundation on Ireland.
It is very cheap, as you know, and frankly you get more than you pay. I have used it several times but I don't think I would buy it again. It is matte and I see it more like a heavier tinted moisturiser.

And now some foundations I want to try soon!

1. Neutrogena Healthy Skin Foundation

You can't find it here in Greece but Argyrousa shared her secret dealer on ebay. thank you argurousa.

 2. Chanel Mat Lumiere

Everyday that passes, gets me closer to that bottle!

 3. Lancome Teint Idole

It is said to be a genuine revolution in  makeup.

4. Revlon Colorstay Foundation
It is already a classic. I am waiting to be delivered.

Well, that' s it for now about foundations!
Which one is your favourite?
Which one you wish for?

Stay healthy & beautiful!
